Q: Are Soccer 101 Academy & Clinics coed? |
A: Yes. Boys and girls of all experience levels ages 5 - 17 are welcome to attend. Players are placed into groups according to age and ability level. |
Q: What's the difference between full day clinic and half day clinic? |
A: Half day runs from 9 a.m. until noon. Full day runs until 3 p.m. Ages 5-6 are encouraged to do half day only. Full day players resume instruction after a lunch hour. Small-sided games, passing combinations and more tactics are practiced in the afternoon. |
Q: What should I bring? |
A: Players should bring a ball, soccer cleats or sneakers, shin pads, water bottle, sun block, snack and a lunch. (bring lunch if signed up for full day) |
Q: Is there a store? |
A: We do sell soccer balls for $20 but no other equipment is available. |
Q: What happens if it rains during a clinic? |
A: In light rain we will continue playing. However, any sign of lightning we will take cover and wait for the bad weather to pass. Some sites have use of a gym but this is not guaranteed. If weather is too bad we will postpone or cancel. If two days are missed because of inclement weather we will have a makeup day on Saturday. |
Q: Do players need proof of a physical in order to attend? |
A: No. Parents must fill out a Medical Record Form only and return it to either our academy office or drop it off at the start of the academy. Please be sure to notify the director of any allergies or other medical concerns of your child prior to the start of the academy. |
